Nature’s beauty in a lamp
The challenge
Create a family of lamps with a botanical shape, with realistic leaves perfectly welded to the central tubular body from which they seem to grow like real plants.
Create a family of lamps with a botanical shape, with realistic leaves perfectly welded to the central tubular body from which they seem to grow like real plants.
The special feature of this lamp is the leaf, which has been studied in every detail; to give it a phytomorphic appearance, we made the stainless steel wave finish before bending it and designed an ad hoc mould.
The leaf is welded to the tube, inside of which all electrical components are concealed through a perfect fit involving a series of intricate cuts, made with our Laser Tube, Tru Laser Tube 5000 Fiber, which due to its very high performance allows for these inclined cuts, accurate to the tenth.
For this project the material used is Inox 304, in mirror finish for the outer part of the leaf and the central tube, and scotch brite for the inner part, available in six different colours chosen by the customer.
Thanks to their special UV-resistant coating and special equipment, Callia lamps are also made suitable for outdoor use.
The result
As thin as a real leaf, solid and durable, metal merges with nature in this luxurious piece of furniture that lights up any room with taste.
